“There’s two kinds of competition, you’ve got exploitation competition, and interference competition. If I bomb your factory so you can’t make stuff, I am arguably competing with you. But it’s a destructive kind of competition. If I try to make better stuff than you in order to out compete you in the market, and you try to make better stuff than me because you want to succeed, then the point is, what we get is an improvement in the quality of the things we have access to.”
“But if you’ve lived inside the academy, you know also that a field like climate science at the moment will not welcome countervailing evidence. And what that means is that the evidence you see doesn’t have the implication that you think it has. Even if the studies you see are accurate, you’re not seeing the studies that weren’t done that would have provided a different view.”
“But in [navigating controversial topics], you are more or less saying, oh, I know what’s probably there, and we can’t afford to know that in any factual way. So that can’t possibly be right, because how do you know if you haven’t gone down that route?”
“If you imagine that there’s a lot of productivity to be discovered through collaboration, well, if you decide only to collaborate with people who look like you, how far you’re going to get is going to be limited, because some of the best people to collaborate [with] probably don’t look like you.”

They are going to collapse everything once it's secured, and they expect to escape to their new much larger country and rule from there.
While every "western" civ will be too busy fighting off all the migrants they imported and dealing with their crumbling infrastructure to even begin to pose a threat.

Bret is a very intelligent man and for him to be Jewish and say that it is Genocide, but he doesn't know enough about Gaza and what goes on in the majority of Palestinians minds is very hard to swollow and makes me queation his analysis of the situation. Perhaps as a professor, you'd want to also read the historical evidence from the beging, and the creation of Israel, because it is clear that Zionists do not follow true Judaism, but an americanized rascist version of Judaism that follows radical christian belifs of totalitarianism and ethnic cleansing.

@3:27 Weinstein refers to jews as being "industrious and capable" but doesn't mention their strongest (arguably the main reason they succeed) trait: nepotism. Given their history of persecution, can they be criticised for this?

Hey Tom, this is an amazing show. Bret has a mind second to none. Thank you for clearing the fog. I truly believe humans function on a platitude of distortions and fractionation of reality. I live by the law that everything I see is not real or rather the complete story, so I caution on being sucked into the narrative.

If you have 4 to 500 years of a system that was taught all types of education on all levels, your IQ. and leanages would be superb. How can you measure when a people were withheld access. We do not get our rights from got but from the responsibility we all have of mutual and reciprocal submission towards one another…
If I want to have the right to freedom of speech and expression, I have to submit a responsibility to respect the right of the other person to do the same. I dont simply have the right to speak or express myself however I want without any concern for the reality of the other persons right to do the same. My right is only possible insofar as I observe my responsibility for others to do the same.
Those that Govern have the right as long as they submit to Governed. The Governed get their rights by submitting to those that Govern. If those that Govern fail to submit to the Governed and uphold their responsilities, they lose their right to Govern.

My friend got the vax and had an autoimmune reaction and ended up on the liver transplant list at the age of 37. 2 years later she's finally getting better but still has lasting problems
