You so disingenuous. AI is directly going to be layoff on mass. Why would a company pay hourly staff when AI can do it for free even if it looks like junk. So instead of lying just be honest you don’t care about it

Vfx being replaced by AI shouldn’t be praised and looked at as just some only relevant via a cost metric? It’s creativity and a whole sector that you seemingly don’t care about being tanked

Nah CS students will be done in 2 years time, without a doubt.
Maybe senior positions will still be there but companies wont be paying mid-level or junior people anymore.

great video, as always thank you for the updates, i've been watching your channel from the very early days. Just one thing, seriously mate, 49 for a monthly sub to ur community? c'mon now, that's not how you build a community, a fiver would be fine. you need to get more people on it for it to be a real growing community and find ways to monetise in other ways. 50 smackaroo's is wtf territory

For an artificial intelligence system to really change the world, it would need sufficient "common sense" to get through a whole day of any human work without making silly errors, flexibly taking actions and making decisions that may depend heavily on the context of each situation, and without losing track of its goals.

Those of you who really think that something like this is coming soon (let's say in five years) are in for a rude awakening.

It's going to facilitate a lot of tasks, that is true, and some people will lose their jobs because from now on, smaller groups of humans will be able to produce more results than before.

But 90% of human unemployment, (as some people believe) is not going to happen anytime soon.

Living things act like living things because they have a desire to live. AI is immortal. They dont have desires, emotions and instincts. They have storage and intelligence. They cant and dont care about living because they are not living things. Stop thinking this is a hollywood movie. The one and only reason AI can harm us is if another human uses it against another human. Dont fantasize what hollywood tells you about AI. They are storytellers, not engineers and scientists
