INFO: Grizzly Bear is an experimental rock band from Brooklyn, New York that formed back in 2002. It started out as a home-project of singer and guitarist Ed Droste and obviously developed into something much bigger as times went by. Painted Ruins is their 5th studio album so far.

I'm surprised you don't like the album much. Songs like Aquarian, Four Cypresses and Mourning sound are killer. With this album you have to listen to the drums they're definitely a main focus of the album. If I were to recommend another album of theirs it would definitely be Veckatimest. Honestly one of my favorite records ever Cheerleader, Fine for Now, While You Wait for the Others… And the literal best album ending with Foreground.

This album for me is not strong as their other albums but still very creative and vibey. Grizzly Bear is definitely my favorite band though

Great band, especially their album "Yellow House", for me it's one o the best contemporary folk albums

I grew up listening to Grizzly Bear and like their older stuff better but good review.
