My educated 80 year old MAGA friend insists that Trump is fighting to keep our freedom of speech rights free but Europe has taken their citizens rights away by limiting hate speech and misinformation 😮😩😭

It amazes me that the most pathetically thin-skinned, fragile-assed, narcissistic man-baby, somehow has an entire cult that thinks he is the peak of “Alpha Masculinity”, and a “god-like” figure of power and genius. Like damn, I wish I had some of the drugs these people are on, because they make it possible to make reality do a complete 180 in their mind. Down is up, up is down, bad is good, good is evil, all without skipping a beat. Must be nice being so oblivious to the world, although, being afraid of literally everything, constantly, all the time, must get exhausting.

I recently learned that PBS has a streaming service: Passport.
"PBS Passport is a member benefit from participating PBS stations that gives eligible donors and supporters extended access to an on-demand library of quality public television programming online."
If you're wanting to cancel you Paramount+ or other subscriptions, you could replace it with Passport.

Are we just seeing the inevitable end result of media ownership concentration? As a Canadian I have long said that although Americans love the mythology that they are freedom-loving, I find American culture very conformist. When people are truly free, they don't need to talk about it all the time. The media concentration is being offset by increased independent media in the form of podcasts and youtube channels like this one. A truly authoritarian state would have no trouble closing all those down if they wanted to. I think the powers that be are using a slow incremental approach, which is very smart of them. If you can make the closing down of media seem like a market choice, you avoid a lot of aggro. Conformists like strongmen.

Ha? You got a new, SHURE, SM-7B. What happened to your other, USB condenser microphone thingy? You sounded fine on that. But of course all of the other Pros. Tell you to waste your money on a SM-7 when you could have purchased the, SM-57 with the oversized foam pop filters. A total cost of about $150. And would have given you identical sound and performance to the, SM-7. But how could you know that? You're only a lawyer.
My mom was born and raised in Minneapolis. Until the Great Depression set in. And her Jewish father was a Lawyer. Her Jewish mother was just mom. And they moved to, Glendale, California. She lived like 3 doors down from Mickey Rooney. Who used to taunt my mother. And her older brothers would go after Mickey. She told me Mickey was smoking cigars by the time he was 6. Can you imagine that? Times were different in the early 1930s. But I digress.
It sounds like you may have also gotten yourself a, Microphone Processor Thingy, perhaps? Or still just using software for that function? I think I hear some? But I found that intriguing. You ditched your other microphone for this $400, SM-7. When you could've gotten away for just $150 instead and achieved the identical sound. You should've contacted me. I would have set you straight. It's almost like an SM-7 on sale for just $150. And it can also be comfortably, handheld. But that's usually just for singers on stage. As the SM-5, SM-7, SM-56, 57 & 58. All use the same SM-57 capsule. And the only difference in sound? Are your actual lips, from the microphone diaphragm. As with the SM-7. Your lips right up to the foam. Still keep your lips. 2 inches away from the microphone diaphragm. So the low-frequency Proximity Effect, doesn't get too strong or out-of-control. Leaving you with muddy sound. And the further away your lips are from the microphone diaphragm. The less the muddy, the sound. 2 inches makes a huge difference. Huge.
And so you are a Legal Professional. So I my as a multi-major music award nominated, Audio Engineer. And then also. 20 years spent at NBC-TV News, in Washington DC. As one of their Top Engineers.
And so I love your show. You are so marvelously well-educated. Except when it comes to your microphone purchases. You just want to look like all the other dummies that have that, long black phallic looking microphone. Right up to their mouth. I'm not quite sure why they want to be seen with that? I think it makes boys look a little, Gay? And they all seem to like that? I haven't figured that one out yet? But then they don't know about the SM-57 with the big oversized foam pop filter either? You frequently see them on our POTUS. When he is outdoors. He's got SM-57 with the big oversized foam pop filter. Designed for that microphone. And that gives you the sound of the SM-7. Like taking $350 off the price. But? But either will last you. Longer than your natural life. So make sure you include that microphone in your last will and testament. It'll still work and sound like new. Long after you are dead. It's a lifetime microphone that lasts, longer than one lifetime. Those Chinese condenser microphones won't last that long. You probably dropped yours? And it was dead? Yeah. That happens with those Condenser Microphone Thingies. They really aren't very rugged. The SM microphone series is, Extremely, Robust and Rugged. Designed to be dropped from, 5 feet. Onto a cement floor. Just about every night for the next 40 years. And it will still be working and sounding like it did when it was new. That's what you call a Bargain! And I would rather have, Four, SM-57's. Instead of a single, SM-7. And which ensures you have backups. Or you might have a couple of Guests, on your show? And you'll have the microphones to cover for them. Or you might want to record your, buddies small rock band? Having 4-5, 6-7 and 8 microphone inputs? And you'll be able to do that then. Because you'll have enough microphones. I'm just saying…… Not that you're going to record a rock band? But you just never know? Maybe a vocalist with their guitar? You can add an extra feature to your YouTube Channel. And you'll get even more views. Because it's really easy to do when you only have a few microphones. I like a grandiose amount. 24-32-48 microphone inputs. Because I mixed for Live FM & TV Broadcast. And live recordings.
And oh yes… Everything you said… About what's going on. And what might we be able to do about it? But the Republicunts cheat and they are stacking the cards in their favor. They just cheat in front of everybody. Because if you say or do anything? They will intimidate you and destroy you. To make America better again! For maniacal depraved fascist Ku Klux Klan member Nazi freaks! And there is but one way to deal with those types. The same way my father and your grandfather dealt with them. For the US Army stationed in Europe for World War II.
I was sort of amused. To suddenly see your new SM-7B. And because you wanted to look like everybody else who is also stupid. And all because they have an extra $250 to burn, or more. As they all want a, Professional Looking Microphone. And the SM-57's and 58's those are only for, rock 'n' roll PA vocals. Yeah no. Those are some of the finest recording microphones, ever made. And an incredible bargain. The best bargain in the industry. You don't need anything else but that, 7-57-58, microphones. You don't need those stupid condenser microphone thingies really much anymore. Not since Digital Recording.
And so I found it very amusing. You get rid of your USB condenser microphone thingy. And switched over to the SM-7. Which might also, obviate, the acquisition of a new, computer audio interface gizmo? Either way it sounds, 100% adequate. Though I personally would tweak your vocal sound a little bit better.
I love your show. I've been following you for years. Since you were a child. Last year. But now you are all, Grode up. And sounding so much, sexier. To this 70-year-old, rock 'n' roll geriatric.
