I had given up. I did. I told this much to my 13 & 1/2 young Child.
I was tired / I am tired of so much death in Palestine & so much bullshit right here in the Fruitvale neighborhood.
And then I slept & woke up & thanked my body for still reminding me to get up & go pee in the middle of the night. And I looked over to my still-sleeping Child & i felt good to still be alive to breath & love & prepare a healthy breakfast for them.
And then I found your podcast & I listened to your words & your pain & your strength & i found my way back to my strength & my tears & my breath.
Thank You for your Work & your Solidarity & your Tears.
I will share this with my Child on our way to his government school.

After watching the whole episode, I wanted to thank you for quitting social media. I did on Indigenous Peoples' Day of Honor, Rage and Rememberance in 2021 and have not regretted it. Also, thank you for what was said about how many Pueblo women had confided in you about their experience with violence in relationships. I have had women confide in me similarly — I think this shaming and normalizing of violence… like "you're not native enough if you do not put up with a certain amount of abuse and violence" is a direct result of Facebook training men to be hetero patriarchal machismo tools for narcissists like Mark Zuckerberg.
