As an retired tech guy who had a career from before IBM PCs through virtual servers I was baffled by the buzz on quantum computing. Now I know the how, but still shake my head at the economic gullible world of tech investment.

Investors really only heard the innovation in "quantum computing innovation with no meaningful application" and poured millions into it. I'm somehow disheartened but not surprised.
