Don't think your theory of life is inaccurate as a description of artictic trends and movements from a constant cycle from purist simplicity to creative excess and over elaboration. This album is just on the high water mark of that cycle. Funny though when you talk about music self sufficient unto itself – its use and appreciation is determined not by music but words – specifically lawyers words in contracts

Is talking about music absurd?
No, for the simple fact that we're incapable of talking about music in other ways, which exist, but we haven't been, let's say, educated.

The “songs in the ley of Life álbum” is one of the baddest álbumes that Stevie ever recorded!Thr triple disc álbum was one of the first álbums that any artist on a any label has ever recorded (regarrdless of genre) the side ele given by Berry Gordy was the green light for Stevie to record this timelss Classic álbum which is STILL selling towards this very day as we speak!

"Songs in the Key of Life" is absolutely his masterpiece. "Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants" is a hidden gem. Stevie is the GOAT.

I keep saying this: We, as the whole world, need to give Stevie Wonder his homage show while he is a LIVING legend. It's a shame it is always when someone has passed.
And the reason Stevie deserves this is because he has moved people with his music from his first song till his latest and still does. Bless…

Also let's not forget the track, "Ngiculela – Es Una Historia – I Am Singing" where Stevie sings in Swahili, Spanish, and English. I'm Hispanic and I can tell you that whoever taught Stevie how to pronounce those words in Spanish is a miracle worker. Stevie sounds just like a native, as if he's been speaking Spanish all his life. I mean, I know he has in the past, but damn! He sounds too good on this track! I'm sure that Swahili is on point too.

When I listen to AS, I always focus on Herbie Hancock's part, and how he filled in the spaces of the song.

21:30 – Sheeeeesh!! Imagine someone releasing a synth today that costs as much as a new Ferrari…
As for your theory, remember: it's widely considered that a rule needs an exception in order to be a real rule! This is that.

I grew up with this album—it was one I played endlessly, singing along while poring over the booklet like it was sacred text. Much like with Parliament, part of the magic wasn’t just in the music but in the entire experience. I was drawn to the album covers, comic books, and posters that came with the records, each one adding another layer to the story. Stevie Wonder has always been—and will always be—an extraordinary artist. This album, along with his many other remarkable releases, stands as a timeless masterpiece that continues to resonate across generations.
