    Cool is the most literal term misused. We've all seen someone hot headed, being cool headed is not to over react, not showing ones cards keeping them close. Governance.

    As a deeply cool member of the youth Iā€™d like to say coolest is not in not caring but in caring so much that you become indestructible. If you believe yourself to be cool, and you really care about the happiness of those around you then you will become cool. Itā€™s also less about hiding your pain than not letting it stop you do the ā€œcoolā€ thing in any situation.

    Just my thoughts on the nature of cool as a cool member of the youth.

    Your understanding of cool is very limited. You seem to think cool is a recent invention. It is not. All humans from every continent and every village for all time have known people who were regarded as cool, no matter how you spell the word. What you call cool is part of the human condition just like fast or smart of tall itā€™s just very rare or the very few but itā€™s permanent interpretation or presentation of the humans condition. Itā€™s alchemy and itā€™s not always the same recipe.

    I completely get what they are getting at with the acting cool as a form of resistance but those examples, especially their claim that it is the total origin of coolness, shows a strong America centrist view point.

    i think being cool is being a badass + gentleman at the same.. having a strong flow of danger and order in you. being in a state of constant action. you never are swept up in thought because you have too much danger like a psycho or too much order and just are not dangerous or capable of changing life the way you wish. because we all know people who just do what they want in life and pursue their dreams are totally cool. but we only wanna be around them though if they are actually still orderly enough to not be a danger to others or victimize others. but we also are not that attracted to people who do not do anything they wish. they always do what others want them to do.. follow every rule.. and fear any repercussion of being themselves or choosing something risky. a balance of danger and order is super ideal.

    Coolness is effortlessness. The absence of intrusive thoughts in stressful situations. A single-minded, thoughtless focus on the task. Coolness flows as effortlessly as water

    I once told my parents or some other adults that being cool isn't as important as being true to yourself, and they called me wise beyond my years. That said, it's good to know how to keep your cool in times of crisis and hardship. Just don't lose your true self in the search for cool.
