Humans are not animals nor animals be held in such manner
so pups mother is natural to carry but humans should still be careful. Mishandling can lead to injury.

Get to the point. Halfway through, you seem to be rambling. . .you don't know much about puppies! Scruff of the neck puppy grab (for pups under a certain age) is a temperament test, the world over! Mama dogs carry pups that way and it "hypnotizes" them into safe stillness.

Wasn't Putin also gifted an Akhal Teke stallion ? I remembers he got a beautiful stallion , but I don't remember if it was a golden Teke or a Trakehner . It was a very special one .

Most diplomats give animals to Presidents. Dogs horses ect. Holding the pup up like that shows the pups form. I DONT AGREE. Even though moms hold their pups that way .

the puppy is way tooo big to be held like this. this kind of holding puppies is only for small/very young puppies. mother carries them like this and they fall still. but this one is too big – it really can be hurt. putin saw this immediately and supported the puppe from under his little but. so you see that he is not only a doglover but also someone who knows a thing or two about dogs.

he was holding the puppy like his mom would do it and so holding like this the puppy would be in confidence with his owner
you can do the same with all the baby of animals were their mom hold them like this, cats also for exemple. when you hold a cat lie this he freeze and stop to be angry because for him it is the sign of confidence, a gesture of his mom

I remember this clip from the day and was shocked. You don't pick a puppy up like that. Give Vlad some credit, (which is none existent these days ) fastest I have seen him move when he launched himself out of the chair and took the puppy into a cuddle hold.

Genuinely I've worked with dogs from age 14 to being a pet owner of some incredible breeds such as the Great Dane & Saint Bernard (sweet bear in pic who is now huge)I would say I was mostly clued in to anything dog related however I admit freely my unconscious prejudice clearly took the steering wheel in the instance because I immediately jumped to the conclusion that this man was "obviously not caring of animal welfare and was barbaric"
Thank you so much for your efforts in bringing this all to our attention because now I see it for the joy & price that man had in his puppy before gifting to putin.
