The "flight" videos they do are all so obviously tethered. You can even see in the videos where they key out the harnesses in the video. This "jet pack" is not real.

Seem the mountain rescue one they plan in using as part of mountain rescue. Imagine flying for minutes at a time. My dreams are sometimes so vivid of being able to fly, tgat when I used the water power version of this, it felt eerily similar!

It does not take nearly 1000 horsepower to make a human hover. There are helicopters that hover with way less than that

These are hugely impractical as with all the other variations. The only bottleneck to all of us owning A personal "jetpack" is the damned energy issue. We have to find an energy source that is far superior to fossil fuels or anything else we have currently come up with. I think nuclear powered packs would be cool, but obviously too dangerous.
