Earth 616 Tony Stark is actually Victor Von Doom. Just adopted by Howard. So that being the case, it would make sense why Doom in Doomsday looks like 616 “Tony”. This way, it doesn’t tarnish anything “Tony” did in the MCU, he is still a good guy and whatnot. There’s actually a shot in Endgame when “Tony” and Cap go back in time and “Tony” Is talking to Howard and seems confused or surprised to hear his birthdate as if Howard was wrong.

I really think they should have just made RDJ Kang. That Tony stark eventually just becomes kang. He is the one that figured out time travel. He’s the one who brought back everyone to keep the “sacred timeline”. They could have made Tony stark “kang all along”. All his sacrifices were really just him keeping the sacred timeline going

I think when dr. Strange got dark magic he brought iron man back but as a cost and iron man becomes Dr doom then spider man convinced dr doom to stop or something to do with the tva because they had a season and movie with the concept of tva

In infinity war, doctor strange said that there was only one way out of thousands that earth 616 would survive, with iron man dead, because otherwise, he saw that he would have became dr doom and destroyed the world. Iron man died, to prevent this future. He could have in fact been the anchor being, and because the anchor being was gone, people of earth 616 didnt want their universe being erased. So they brought back another robert downey jr from a different universe, but this wasnt iron man, it was dr doom

My theory is that
They trying finding a replacement Tony Stark for there timeline by using dr stranger magic and Time Machine they used in endgame, but just when they thought they found the perfect one there’s one little mistake they make and turns out that he isn’t the Tony Stark they thought they pulled from another timeline but later to be revealed that he’s Dr Doom

If they show doom exchanging body with tony in his universe so i would want that at the end of the movie he should go back to his original body and tony gets his body and comes back as iron man in secret wars and we get cillian murphy as dr doom in secret wars

My theory is at the end of Doomsday, our current Loki is acting as the beyonders from the comics(they're very simlar power-wise controlling the multiverse) and RDJ's Doom finds this out, goes to the void beyond time where loki is and says" you could not live with your own failure, where did that lead you? Back to me." But instead of snapping his fingers he snaps Loki's neck and takes his power, thus becoming god emperor Doom and with the help of the TVA/Time Rippers/variants/Incursions/Anchor beings, he creates Battleworld.

The “Anchor Being” plot is stupid to assert because if they’re not immortal then all of the infinite universe out there are bound to crash and burn within 1 lifetime. DP and Wolverine setup the fact that someone could become an Anchor after the last Anchor dies, but that’s just plot armor for a guy made out of plot armor. I don’t think “Anchor Being” will hold any weight moving forward.

My MCU RDJ Dr. Doom Theory: Through body switching or another plot mechanism, Viktor is inhabiting the body of a Tony Stark variant from another universe. As a last resort after realizing that it’s the only way (Consulting Dr. Strange on all potential future outcomes)….They agree to do what was sworn never to be done(A detail we’ll soon learn of, potentially even with foreshadowing in upcoming releases): The Avengers download Tony’s “saved state” consciousness from F.R.I.D.A.Y. By means of either a spell being cast or in some way more analogue, they manage force Victor back into his own body by integrating Tony’s consciousness into his alter. This climatically peaks with the return of Iron Man joining the team to defeat Doom, perfectly wrapping up the multiverse saga in a velvet bow and inevitably given a soft reboot following down the road.
– I also see a potential for them to declare OG Tony the anchor as a partial justification for The Avengers to make the tough choice.
– I’m still on the fence as to how much of the source material will be applied regarding Reed Richards.

I think this could perfectly explain why in endgame Dr.Strange after seeing 14million possibilities choose the one possibility in which iron man dies, because in all the other possibilities he see's that tony stark goes on to become Dr.Doom which could have been much harder task to handle than Thanos .

This would have been fine if there wasn't so much multiverse garbage in superhero films up to this point. This move reeks of desperation regardless of whatever previous comic this is derived from. If this is so genius, why didn't they think of this earlier instead of developing this Kang nonsense. This is a direct admission that what Fiege was doing was failing miserably. Will they save the MCU? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I've had one idea of my own and heard another on the matter that I like….
My thought is that Doom is a quantum variant of Tony Stark from the 14,000,606th outcome he looked at. In this one, they won against Thanos and Tony survived. However, both Pepper and Morgan died and Tony went insane. This is Doom
Somebody else had the idea that Downey's Doom isn't at all a variant of Tony Stark and the resemblance will never be noted because Doom will never remove his mask. (I had a similar thought that they'll have his face messed up from putting the mask on right after its cast like in the comics, but I think their idea is better.)
