   when i was younger, i did not like deftones. i really liked the instrumentals, but wasnt a huge fan of cheno. eventually, i stumbled upon a different deftones song, and realized the entire reason i "didnt like deftones" was because id only heard like 2 songs from them. when i actually started listening to them, everything changed and they're one of my favorite bands ever

    I got hung up about what you said about private jet use. And you asking where the outrage about the same thing is for corrupt politicians or Elon and Bezos.
    My theorie about why Taylor Swift got so much hate is because she is a legendary Popartist who has a very strong parasocial relationship with her fans and just casual listeners, or just peopel who know of her. So when people heard about her frequent privat jet use, they felt betrayed by her. Like:"we thought she is one of us, but know we find out she is not better than the other 1%, when it comes to caring about the enviorment" With Musk, Bezos, Politicians and corporations it's more like "I'm not surprised, they don't care about human rights, so why would they care about the enviorment."

    If instead of Taylor Swift it would have been Harry Styles, I think there would have been also a big outrage. Probably not as much as for Tayor Swift, because he is a man – and the arguments you made in the video about the standards for female and make artists. My thoughts I had to this topic you discussed.

    Edit: Thank you for the video, I really enjoyed watching it. I agree wholeheartedly people need to listen more!!! I actually think you need the ability to listen to widen your own horizon.

It's like a draft email: what's important is they decide for themselves what to type – may be subject to change but that is ultimately their decision if it feels right to send. And you can always go back to it and see if it still makes sense (and in my case, you forget to press send then forget that you haven't press send and forget that other people haven't read it yet) but it's your email-life, and you can edit that draft a million times – people should just accept you for who you are, (as long as you aren't a generally bad person – like a mass murderer or a neo-Nazi. Or someone who outwardly says that pineapple doesn't belong on pizza – TRY IT FIRST.)

    I would consider myself pretty rooted in feminism and I had to chuckle because I do vow to never get plastic surgery, I’m very lax about shaving, I don’t wear bikinis, wear makeup or get my hair done ever. This has always been my version of standing against the patriarchy (and I’m also autistic with sensory issues haha) but I’m fully aware that the way I express my association with feminism is not the same as the way everyone else will. Nor should all women feel obligated to go against the patriarchy at all times lol. It is super weird to make other women feel bad for every choice they make. We need to work on respecting one another.

    i saw a tweet of a youtube screenshot and it was a Nikki Carryeon video and all they said was basically there tired of opinion video essays…… GIRL THEN DONT WATCH THEM!? im so tired. i agree entirely with your takes in this video because i already felt this way before i watched. it drives me insane the amount of likes that tweet had. why are we dogging on the idea of making videos about our opinions on things? you can watch a video and disagree, unless your brain is mushy clay and is formed by everything you hear, then that’s a you problem, not the video maker.

    I’m so glad you touched on the stuff with Chappell. It was literally killing me when all that was happening. People PRESSURED her so bad. Posted videos of them ripping up tickets, burning her albums, doing the most bizarre things just because she wouldn’t speak on those certain political issues. Then the second she spoke about them they were outraged. She was right. Both parties weren’t the best people obviously one more than the other. She has a platform yes but she can use it how she likes and if she feels uncomfortable speaking about it then she doesn’t have to. And this just proved why she didn’t want to speak about things. People have insane set standards. No matter what she said she would’ve gotten hated on for it.
    Same with the picture thing. If she doesn’t want a picture then that’s ok…a male popstar can say “hey I’m not ok with pictures right now” and the world keeps going normally. But when she says she feels uncomfortable and like people are stalking her every move (which they were) everyone is immediately against her. I’m not even a Chappell fan but it really made me upset to see how everything played out and it seemed unfair.
