Native Bidaské with Jonathan Nez, President of the Navajo Nation
Join Native News Online Publisher Levi Rickert as he interviews Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez, who will leave office on Tuesday, January 10th.
Nez, 47, served one term as president of the Navajo Nation, which sits on the largest Indian reservation in the United States. Nez led the Navajo Nation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Navajo Nation was the epicenter of the pandemic in Indian Country.
During the pandemic, America learned about the lack of electricity and drinking water on the Navajo Nation. Nez went to Washington, D.C. to increase funding for some of the most basic needs of his tribe.
Rickert will discuss the accomplishments of the Nez-Lizer administration and what lies in his future.
