Some of our best trail camera footage from last year!
We try to keep 300-350 cameras in the woods at any given time, which allows us to capture and share neat moments such as this. Of course, the primary reason we have so many cameras out is so we can study the 20-21 packs, depending on the year, in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem.
One of the big things that donations to our annual fundraiser go towards is keeping our trail cameras going. We estimate it costs about $100/year to keep a camera working in the field (costs include batteries, SD cards, logistics to get to every camera multiple times a year, replacing cameras that stop working, etc).
And with 300-350 cameras, that adds up quickly.
