Cyrus Norcross, an award-winning Navajo freelance journalist, focuses on the critical issue of missing and murdered indigenous people in the Navajo Nation. With accolades from various journalism organizations, he has contributed to Indian Country Today, Native News Online, Navajo Times, and Source NM. Inspired by his experience at the Standing Rock protests in 2016, he emphasizes the importance of Native American voices in the media. A former member of the 4th Infantry Division and 75th Ranger Regiment, Norcross is currently writing a book about the Standing Rock protests, hosting the “Warriors at Heart” podcast, and working on a documentary featuring a Navajo woman aiding families in the search for missing loved ones.
