How The Avalanches created a masterpiece from junk

Since I Left You by The Avalanches is one of the most unique records ever made – it contains over 3500 samples. The Avalanches created this album by sampling many unknown records and creating entirely new songs out of these samples. What’s more… they did this with minimal equipment in the late ’90s. In this video, I discuss how these technical limitations actually helped to fuel their creative imagination, and create something truly unique.
