Btw guys, this is an american remake the Israeli director Boaz Davidson made to his original film from Israel called "lemon popsicle" which came out in 1978. In 1982, Davidson wrote and directed an American remake, "The Last American Virgin", starring Lawrence Monoson and Diane Franklin. This was the first comedy teen film surrounded around sex and nudity shown in the movie and it inspired all the same style movies after it. Turns out that without the Israeli director we wouldn't have movies like "american pie" today.

I was recently remembering this movie as one of 'em American horny teen comedies that got the assignment wrong and made the whole 'horny' part unexpectedly depressing.

Moral of the story aside, I can't even begin to understand why Gary was fawning over Karen. She's so mid and not even attractive. Yeah, Rose might've been a nerd, but who cares?? She's way better than… Karen.

I’m surprised it ended so fucked up but I think every teenage boy should watch this before dealing with girls.

I guess at least for men you can get so hung up on one girl and not realize there is a better match right there or this one girl you think is so great but sometimes unfortunately you have to find out the hard way she isn’t.

The girl who plays Karen was also in a very fun 80s movie, "Better Off Dead"

as a writer, I would make the girl go to church and become a nun as a plot twist instead of getting back to cool guy
