When a Culture Starts to Die | Inside Indigenous Australia | ENDEVR Documentary

Australia’s Dark Secret – The Inhumane Treatment of Indigenous Peoples: https://youtu.be/4lJUCMKYUUw

In Western Australia’s Kimberley region, Indigenous communities find themselves stranded between a fractured past and an uncertain future. As the painful friction of cultural transition leaves many in a state of limbo, a stark divide emerges. While some have succumbed to the weight of systemic despair, a resilient few choose to confront both historical trauma and modern demons, waging a battle to reclaim their heritage and forge a path toward lasting change.

This documentary originally aired in 2019.

It's sad as I see people from country just throwing rubbish on the ground daily and I'm a migaloo that picks the rubbish up because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE COUNTRY & would be so privileged to learn ur culture beliefs because I see culture disappearing in front of my eyes

Go in the bushes and gather fuelwood for your fire, don't remove your doors or windows for fire. You should be the richest people in the world if you know how to till and manage your lands instead of just letting greedy companies mine your lands for a penny.

You see the mental defeat in the young people, losing those they love and care about to suicide. The older generation not able to articulate those feelings being shown? Living through the losses of their time, culture is so important connections, family

“We lost our culture . We don’t have a culture anymore- because of alcohol and drugs. It’s destroying our community, our families, our people. And we still see a lot of that here today.” An Elder’s voice that rings true across all indigenous Nations no matter where they are in this world 😔
