On Star Trek, l think it was the one with Captain Janeway, Gene Roddenberry had the crew having facetime on, well smartphones. I remember it seeming so far fetched. Innocent time for most of us; but there's always been a dark underbelly, unfortunately.

I thought we’ve talked about the pool already, but there IS a pool beneath the Press Pool Room that FDR put in for physical therapy to treat his polio symptoms until Nixon drained it and closed it up with flooring. That’s why it’s called what it is (Press/Pool Room)

The most absurd thing I've heard from America this week was '6:45 Can't we just go back to pharmaceutical adds?' In europe those adds are what we treat as evidence of the US's stupidity, and dishonesty.

The press briefing roomed used to be an indoor swimming pool, constructed in 1933 using funds raised by readers of the New York Daily News to help President Franklin D. Roosevelt manage his polio symptoms.

I'm in Florida, not seeing ANY signs in Hernando County, left or right. For some time now, though, I haven't seen the red hats, or the pickups with giant trump flags, or even bumper stickers. Fingers crossed.
