As someone who has spent time in Japan I'm sure you're familiar with Lawson's which was in fact a chain of convenience stores founded in North Olmsted, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
The Ohio stores were all bought up and closed but the legacy remains today in convenience stores with hourglass-esque shape signs on independent convenience stores that were once Lawson's and Lawson's chip dip, a local favorite that is now exclusively carried by Circle-K.

French fries is actually a slightly shorter version of "frenched fries" which simply refers to the way they're cut into strips, so the the name comes from the fact that the potatoes are both frenched and fried rather than anything to do with national origin

Bananas are not indigenous to central america, they came from south-east Asia and were first domesticated on New guinea (the island split between Papua New Guinea and Indonesia).
Not everything is native/unique to America.

28:48 Yep! Blue Seal Icecream, also formerly American, now Japanese.

Also kinda 7/11 but those still exist in America of course. It is a Japanese company now though. I wonder if there are more examples for other countries🤔

20:27 I’m pretty sure why they look like a screw and why they look so American is because these lunchboxes usually appear near construction sites like Toad’s Factory probably alluding to construction workers bring their lunch atop skyscrapers so they’re not taking the time going down a building to eat their lunch

35:04 Popcorn is squishy and doesn't create a lot of loud noises when you eat it, and the sound of rustling your hand through the bag isn't as loud or annoying as like chips for example. As a teenager I would smuggle all sorts of snacks into theaters and always felt self-conscious about crunching noises. Maybe this contributed to the success of popcorn as the primary movie theater snack

At least over here in the states Candied Apples are still pretty popular here, though I’m from an area where going to the local Orchard for various fall festivities is still a tradition. Not sure how common this is in the rest of the country.

On "tea" as a word for an evening meal, I wouldn't say its usage is declining, but it is very clearly split along geographic and class lines. Contrary to what many foreigners might assume "tea" as a meal is distinctly working class and most common in the industrial north and midlands, while the middle and upper classes (especially in the southeast) almost always say dinner. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
