Really looking forward to getting my hands on the new album, the singles have been crushing! I agree with pretty much all your rankings here MT but would flip Twisted into Form over Forbidden Evil personally. Apart from that, can you really describe Glen Alvelais & Steve Smyth as being TESTAMENT members???

Forbidden evil is a classic its easily in the top 10 thrash albums ever . Twisted is also great but not as good.

Ai album cover? Really? Don’t even review this

The debut is still my favourite Forbidden record. After that it was a lot of hit and miss with diminishing returns with each subsequent album. The best part on Distortion for example is the King Crimson cover. Don’t care much for the new one because I hate that they are using AI slop for the cover "art".

Since they have AI generated cover this album goes on F tier for me and Forbidden lost all respect

Wasn't exactly hopeful considering the AI slop they released to promote the record

If I formed a band, I would call it The Dreaded Yarl.

First two albums are classics for sure. That new album "art" however will be a classic example of what NOT to do on a metal record…

Most of their albums are completely forgetful

I'm going to see Forbidden live this weekend. They weren't on my bucket list only because I was convinced there were never coming to my area.

I often heard People disliking Norman's vocals, but goddamn those hit harder than Russ' have for quite some time.

Finally 😂. Thanks for covering one of my favorite bands. Apparently, the Lamb of God guys loved Green. Omega Wave is better than most of the stuff we've gotten from the Big 4. Going to listen to the new album tonight.

Forbidden are a great and overlooked thrash metal band and those first two albums, the ones with Paul Bostaph and classics in thrash metal. They have so many lineup changes with Craig Locicero and Matt Camacho being the only consistent members. I'll have to find out how this new self-titled lineup brings with Norman Skinner on vocals, Jeremy Von Epp on guitars, and of course Chris Kontos who played on easily the best Machine Head album Burn My Eyes brings to the table but it's great to finally have a new Forbidden album after 16 years. Here is how I would rank their previous 5 albums:
S – Forbidden Evil, Twisted into Form
A – Omega Wave
B – Distortion
C – Green

Forbidden gives Exodus a good run for their money when it comes to embarassing-yet-lovable song titles
