I would like to see you compare the original cost of the video games you feature against other products a kid could have purchased in the same time period. For instance, one Nintendo game might have been equivalent to a toy package including one Star Wars figure, one MOTU figure, a GI JOE vehicle, four bubblegum trading card packs, a baseball and glove, and a parachute rack toy soldier. Although many of us are old, the younger fans won't realize how expensive these items were. The Atari system you showed in this video, I think you might have been able to buy nearly the full year product line of GI JOE for the same price tag.

    Typed from memory….

When you're into Perfection, keep on your toes.
You have to be quick, 'cuz here's how it goes.
Push the plunger down, set the timer.
    Fit the pieces in place.
    Don't be slow with Perfection.
You've gotta move on fast. Move on fast.
Or the pieces pop up, before you can put in the last…
    And that's Perfection!

And I didn't even have it. I had SuPerfection.

Love to see you get a XEGS. I had one growing up and got into programming because of it. The paperwork you have there don't appear to the same as mine. The one I have has a basic programming book with a white cover and spiral spine. The set is a prized piece of my collection.

Hi! I have several volumes of the Sesame Street Library books (1–11 and 15) that I would love to find a good home for.

My mom bought them one at a time during her grocery trips to Winn-Dixie, picking up each new volume as it became available and whenever she could afford the extra expense. Based on the copyright dates, this would have been around 1978–1979.

I'd love to pass them along to someone who would appreciate them. If you're interested in giving them a new home, please let me know. I'd be more than happy to send them your way!

Cool Atari 8-Bit stuff. I have three Atari 8-Bit computers, a 1050 disc drive and a 410 Program Recorder. One program you should check out and possibly review is an 8-bit drive emulator called RespeQt. I have using this for a couple years now. And I find it is a really great to load Atari 8-bit ROMS onto your Atari computers. I even made a custom interface box as well.

I predict a slew of 8bit home computer Friday Plays in our near future. It's interesting how drab the Atari 800 cartridges are since the 2600 versions had such nice artwork once you got out of that first generation

That was a bargain for Rampage! It was reskinned as the excellent Terror in Meeple City because they didn’t have the license from what I remember.

It’s pretty simple once you get it set up, brilliant family board game!

Wow! Nice find on the XE GS, looking forward to the video. A few years back, a friend of mine picked up a Turbo Grafx 16 at a yard sale, complete-in-box for… 25 cents, looked like the components were taken out once then put back in the box. I was jealous, but he puts in the yard sale time to make those kinds of finds. He also found a Fender Strat for $20.

I tried to kind of pantomime what that Mindscape stick would be like to use. It's a neat find, but I don't think I'd like it. The Epyx 500 XJ was my all-time favorite Atari/Commodore stick.

We grew up during the time of anxiety games- Perfection, Superfection, Simon, Super Simon, Don't Tip the Waiter, Don't Spill the Beans, Don't Break the Ice, Topple, Jenga, Operation, and so on. These companies stressed out an entire generation of children under the guise of "fun".
