Homelands Powwow
Citizens of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans are working to re-establish a connection with their ancestral homelands in New York and western Massachusetts. Some 200 of them are traveling from Wisconsin for a powwow in Lenox, Mass., on Oct. 3-4. “Standing on the land, you feel that you’re very welcome,” said Stockbridge citizen Shawn Stevens about being in the homelands.

It’s like coming home to see your Grandparents that you haven’t seen for years. Even if they are not still alive in flesh, their spirits are in the land, trees, and nature. Love never dies or deminishes. It awaits your return home with open arms and heart.
Blessings to you and your families. May the ancestral Love heal and strengthen you all.
