PLEASE READ: If you see a comment from someone with my user pic saying they want to talk to you on telegram and have a "prize" for you, report them. That is a scammer – I will never ask you for anything in my comments section, I do not have a telegram, and this account is verified. Anything that is NOT verified and seems suspicious (you'll notice that their comments are indeed sus), is not me. Report them immediately. This has been happening everywhere on YouTube, if you see it on other channels, report them as well. Thank you kindly, and enjoy the video.

I only played this shortly after the original release, and while I think it's overall a really good game, the alchemy section and the last tiers of progression were so unbelievably annoying and tedious that I gave up playing. It worth noting that zombie slaves weren't in the game originally. They were added several months after release to cut down on the tedious daily chores and made a huge difference for being able to actually progress at a sensible pace. The inventory and crafting system in its current form is also something that was added after launch, and I know there were a few more updates after I gave up on the game. There were no useful guides for this game when I played – it was still too new – and the alchemy really needs a guide, because it is anything but fun. There is also an expansion for the game now, but I've never seen anyone even mention it when talking about the game

I love Graveyard Keeper and have been playing it for years now. I'm not sure how much time I've sunk into it (multiple hundreds, at least), but I have a max-stack filled chest with literally every item you can collect, and about 4-6 chests with each common harvestable/craftable item… you never know when you might need them.

My main issue with the game is that I've played it too much and am now running out of space in the graveyard (yes, even after all upgrades – I was barely able to fit everyone I 'processed' over hundreds of hours, even as ash, and even with a lot of that ash in a dedicated trunk and used in other recipes) and, likewise, almost ran out of space for new trunks to store all of my items in (especially the damnable crop waste and larvae that have multiplied exponentially – I literally can't eat the larva fast enough).

    10/10, would grind again.

I'll do glad you talked about this game.
Also I NEED your to review the murder she wrote episode "murder of Sherlock Holmes" it's a two parter and it's the first two episodes. Jess falls for her publisher and we find out how she started being a writer

bought it for 3,50 just scretched the itch I had at the moment. The end felt a littel bit short wish there was a littel more about the wife or a kind of newgame + where you can interakt with her . Really wanted to hear her opinion on being a zombi slavers wife .

Idk if you've played these: Dredge, Necrosmith, or Potion Craft: Alchemy Simulator. I think there are elements to these games you might enjoy. I'm going to go check out this game myself. Thanks for your content šŸ’œ

You should try Cult of the Lamb. You play as a possessed lamb that builds out a cult following complete with sacrifices and crusades. I have not played, but have watched many gameplay videos and it looks amazing. Right up your alley. šŸ™‚

Thank you for posting this review Roses! I just downloaded the game after a very hard day after watching your video at lunch. Could you please share with me where you found the guide you liked using for the alchemy in this game?

Hey, a few months ago I discovered Danganronpa. Don't know if you know it but anyways… it's a murder mistery game. The catch is that it's pretty weird-fun and I could write a lot to try to convince you but the best would be if you just give it a try and who knows, maybe make a video about it in a year or so if you liked it. I have seen your videos for quite some time and I just think it might be of your like. Can be wrong of course but would love to have your take on it.

This is a little off topic for this game, but have you ever done or considered doing a review of the Tales of Monkey Island series? I have seen you reviews on the other Monkey Island titles and enjoyed them very much, but have not seen anything on this series.. I am currently replaying them on my pc and enjoying them as if for the first time. They did a nice job incorporating the Monkey Island feel.

Great review, as always! I was wondering if you, (PushingUpRoses), have checked out the new Roberta Williams game, Colossal Cave, a modern remake of her classic of the same name from decades ago? If anyone can do a good review of it, it would be you… Anyway, thanks again for the great content!

What a great review. I may need to return to this one, especially with the guide suggestion. I played for maybe 20 hours and loved the vibe and many of the mechanics, but I never got over the feeling of being overwhelmed. Something about this game keeps caaaalling me though!

If you want "Minecraft but with a reason to do stuff", maybe look at the Dragon Quest Builders games. There's a plot to follow, you always have a specific objective, there are NPCs you need to please by building them the things they request, and yet you're still free to wander off and be creative if you feel like messing around.

I don't remember exactly when I played this but I completed about 3/4 of the main quest when the zombies were added, so, around that time. Loved it and still look forward to playing it again. One thing I never did, though, was to sell or cook meat from the corpses. Cannibalism is one of my biggest squicks in fiction so, as long as it's optional in a game, that's just one big no for me.

I'm usually a sucker for seasons in farming sims or resource management games but in this game (and similar ones like Traveller's Rest), I liked that there was no additional timing pressure. The weekly schedule of the characters was just enough to not get frustrated and without having to worry about things or mechanics not being available for a longer period of in-game time, it made exploration much more flexible. If I wanted to explore a new area for however long it took, I'd just do that and neglect everything else. If I wanted to spend a whole in-game week or longer gathering stones or wood and go on a crafting marathon after that, I'd do just that. I love winter scenarios and I enjoy prep for winter in farming sims like Stardew but it's also nice to obsess over a different flavour of grinder for a while.

I got stuck on this game but it was really fun up till then. I think it was only my system as I watched a few walkthroughs and did exactly what they did and I was still stuck. I bought the expansions when they went to 80% or more off so I'll eventually give it another go.

I love this game so much. There is enough to do to always be busy without it really feeling monotonous. There are 'timed' missions but there is never a timer, just you can only do ___ on ___ day.

I started playing this game about the same time you did – I purchased it a long time ago and was reminded that I should actually, you know, play it! I really enjoy Graveyard Keeper although at the beginning I was pretty lost (and I'm still a bit lost – I only just managed to get the church unlocked and my faith is pretty bad.) The only storyline that truly gives me the icks is the inquisitor – I don't want to help that guy! (But I will for storyline reasons.) It's a really fun combo of cute and weird, and like you I love games like Stardew Valley. I'm really looking forward to getting that teleportation stone though because it can take all day to walk from your farm to, say, the astronomer and by the time you get there he's gone and won't be back until another week, aargh!

BTW while I love games like this I'm pretty limited on how many titles I can actually play because I have a mac and no consoles (and some games give me motion sickness.) So I was really happy to find out that Graveyard Keeper was actually possible for me to play (I think My Time At Portia was PC only.)
