Putting aside the morality of this man’s belief that teenagers should be married and pregnant at that age, there’s also a lot of medical reasons teenagers shouldn’t be pregnant and I will list them right now
1. The body of teenagers especially girls under 15 years old aren’t physically mature enough for childbirth. An adult woman in her 20’s and 30’s can push out the baby, A teenage girl will have issues. Granted women can have also issues during childbirth for whatever reason but it’s incredibly hard for a teenager to push a whole baby out.
2. Maternal Health risks, teenagers have increased risks when pregnant such as pregnancy induced hypertension (preeclampsia), eclampsia (which is one or more convulsions pregnant women from high blood pressure often following in a coma which is obviously gonna be a risk to both mother and baby), anemia and suffering from premature membrane rupture.
3. Birth complications because if you expect a healthy baby from a teenager you’re likely not gonna get one. Teenage pregnancies can often have an increased probability of a preterm birth which is before 37 weeks and low birth weights (<2,500 grams) which can allude to life long health issues for the baby.
4. Effects on the child. Of course something is gonna happen later in life. Children of teenagers will often develop cognitive development issues, learning difficulties and behavior problems. There is also the fact that neonatal death rates are roughly three times higher for infants of teenage mothers than infants of mothers in their 20’s.
5. Because there is a stigma around teen pregnancy, teen mothers will often go with no or little prenatal care often until after 19 weeks which increases risks AND teenagers under the age of 15 are more at risk for the adverse health effects.

This is also not counting the mental health effects, the financial consequences and the education decline that teenagers experience when they have a child.

If you’re asking yourself what is the right time to get pregnant, it’s in your late 20’s to early 30’s because that is when women have the highest number of high quality eggs and the lowest risks of pregnancy complications. You also need to ask yourself and your partner if you’re financially stable enough to afford a child and if you have career goals that have been accomplished.
Overall this argument of teenagers being the peak time for pregnancy is not only morally wrong, it is biologically wrong as well.

TL;DR: teenage pregnancy isn’t just morally wrong, it’s biologically very risky for both the mother and baby.
