I've seen Waters about 6-7 times since 2001. During the last show I went after the break, I suddenly was fed up with all the politics. I haven't listen to him since, actually. I just had enough. And I even agree with a lot of his views.

I was at Water's concert in Glasgow about ten years ago when he inadvisably ventured in to the football rivalry there just before his encore and praised celtic fans regarding palestine. He looked a bit taken aback by the rising tide of boos from half the audience during his speech. Walkouts started and fights began to break out. First time i have ever walked out a concert ! Was reported in the papers that the Police had a word with him to stay away from that subject on his second night 😂😂

Hetfield didn't need to say anything. They should have just got on with their concert. If he doesn't want to talk politics that's fine but basically shut up about it.

they're both right. If you choose to see a show to rock out & forget life for a bit, see Metallica. If you want to get an earful of the political conundrum set upon us these days backed by music, go see Roger Waters. Roger is a prick, though, for getting on musicians who just do what they want to do. Thank God almighty that there is only one Roger Waters in the music world (or one a uptight as he is).

Roger waters is an idiot. I love his music but there's no reason to talk shit about other artists, like ozzy, Bono, eddie van halen, radiohead, James hetfield , bon jovi , even david gilmour and pink floyd !

Roger waters will be dead soon, and his legacy will begin its path to a consensus of opinion, output and statistics. He will be remembered for Pink Floyd and DSOTM. That’s it and that’s a lot. His politics will be forgotten. All that will be left is the music. He doesn’t know it but he’s been irrelevant for decades.

These are the same people who say things like “Silence is violence,” and my response to them is: no, I’m just not a ruminating, neurotic megalomaniac, and I have enough theory of mind not to have an existential crisis if people aren’t constantly mirroring my worldview back to me. It’s this arrogant, smug, self-righteous indignation of people who genuinely don’t know how little they know. Drives me up the wall.
I agree with Sharon Osbourne, how; David, Richard and Nick tolerated this bozo for so long is beyond me. Get in the ground old man.

The words of a self important, insufferable old man, living off the fumes of a career in a band that, while great at the time, you'd have to be a senior citizen to really have knowledge of. I don't sincerely he could come close to be able to play anything on And Justice for all.
