It is so surprising that this happens in the richest country in the world. But then again, what is more surprising is that Americans don't rebel against this.

America may be approaching the hour when ordinary people must once again organize and fight for their rightful place in the country their ancestors helped build.

The rise of the “NEO-YUPPIES” has brought us a peculiar new form of conquest: they don't need armies to seize a community; they arrive with investment portfolios, real estate acquisitions, and the audacity to call the displacement of its people progress.

They make their wallets bigger while making their hearts smaller.

From New England to the rest of the nation, working families are being priced out of communities generations of ordinary Americans built, defended, and sustained. And we're supposed to applaud when our neighborhoods are transformed into exclusive playgrounds for the wealthy?

Perhaps it's time for a new American Revolution. Not one of violence or intimidation, but of organized resistance, public accountability, and the determination to reclaim our communities.

Let us identify the corporations, developers, investors, and public officials responsible through public records. Let us organize tenants, defend homeowners, expose exploitation, boycott predatory businesses, and challenge the policies that make displacement profitable.

Our ancestors understood that liberty was never something the powerful simply handed to ordinary people. It had to be defended.

The neo-yuppies should remember one thing: a community is not conquered simply because someone purchases the property beneath it.

America doesn't need another generation of landlords pretending to be pioneers. It needs ordinary people brave enough to remind them that a home is more than an investment, a neighborhood is more than a commodity, and the American dream was never supposed to become an eviction notice.

Let the next American Revolution be a revolution against displacement—not a revolution that creates more of it.

Yes usually the votes of city council goes in favor of lobbying power with money, so I wasn’t surprised by the last vote of 10-3 and 1 I think 🤔 passed, this was 1:31:44 into the video. Now had the agency had more lobbying power it might pass, but it’s not all money, it also has to do with the outcomes of the community and their proof that the neighborhood would be different. Many taxpayers do not want smelly areas or issues with housing. I’m not saying it’s the homeless fault, I’m just saying certain conditions need to be met not just for a nice looking community but also health standards etc

Why doesn’t the agency building the tiny homes just buy a plot of land, build the homes and pay the taxes on the homes instead of moving around every couple of months

I live just outside Denver in Aurora and the company I work for has helped build many of the affordable communities in the metro. Still it's hard to watch how little we truly do for those that need help. I love my city and community, but we do need to do better

Less Government advocates Big Government when the outcome applies to them. It's none of our business how people got where they are now. Think about that judgmental question? Maybe they can ask you back, how did you file bankruptcy twice and still have a home? None of my business. Prayers to everyone to have a softer heart, because the No's need more prayers than our fellow citizens on the street.
