I'm from Spain and José Andrés was born in a small town in Asturias, my city. He has a good heart helping people around the world when a disaster happens. We are proud of him, no matter where he lives.
He receive the princess of Asturias award 6 years ago, and this year the Argentinian football player Leo Messi is going to receive the same award here in Asturias the last week of October

Hearing him talk about WCK gave me chills!! I live in the hurricane Helene area and got meals from them regularly which was amazing in and of itself, but he was also buying out the farmers markets and paying our otherwise unemployed restaurant workers.

Chef José is one of the angels that walk among us. Mr. Rogers told us to look for the helpers – when you do, you will find Chef José & his team of bakers & cooks in the midst of the chaos. For the past 5 years, at Christmas, instead of presents I give that money to WCK.
