really enjoyed:
devil master- Bloody Dreams
Mouth Breaker- Moshup
Vulgar Mephitis- From Dust
Brat- Manslayer. will say I agree with you on it needing to be a little more diverse. Solid record overall, and despite the bloated 17-track list, it sure as heck doesn't feel long, as it keeps a really good pace.
Critical Defiance- Rivers of Blood
Plume- Saferooms & Healing Frequencies
Bloodmother- Militant Black Magic
favorites:
Bitter- Slamosaurus Rex
A Night in Texas- The Darkest Side Of Humanity (deathcore top 5 for me)
Gradience- Anomaly
Demonic Manifestation- Grimshrine
Sněť- V bažinách vědomí
Schandmaul- Sternensegler
Bülent Ceylan- B.L.N.T.
green lung- Necropolitan
Stillbloom- S/T
Distention- What Remains
Magic Cross- S/T
Cartilage- Operating Altar
Exist Immortal- Afterglow
The Bleeding- Godless Communion
Perpetrate- S/T
Skáld- Ørlǫg
Crown Magnetar- The Hollowing Of Godflesh (deathcore top 5 for me)
Skumstrike- Flawless Intrigue from Heck
Gåte- Sigil
Album of the year nods:
metalite- Discovery
Sistematic Coprophagia- Mausoleum of Consumption
Terrestrial Hospice- Omnicide – Chapter I

Have you ever heard of Heartsounds? Bay Area pop punk with metal tendencies, such a shame they never took off. They had a side project called Light This City, which is very much a metalcore/deathcore thing. Their mixes were always a bit weak, with the vocals always being quiet, but the songwriting and groove is there
