Nietzsche vs. Marx LIVE: Will AI Eliminate Us?
#ArtificialIntelligence #AGI #AISafety #FutureOfAI #ExistentialRisk #Nietzsche #KarlMarx
What happens when two different AI systems take on the minds of Friedrich Nietzsche and Karl Marx, then confront the possibility of humanity being replaced by its own machines?

04:40 The Conversation
This conversation was generated in real time. It was not scripted or edited into a predetermined argument. Each character had a separate AI brain, voice, and animated face, responding to the other as the discussion unfolded. The system could also search for contemporary evidence and introduce it into the debate.
The result is imperfect, unpredictable, and occasionally unsettling.
Nietzsche vs. Marx.
One question: Will AI destroy humanity?

How about Termintor or Borg versus Commader Data.
And make it an Epic Rap Battle.

The computers are literally nobody (no body). We are bodies with nervous systems and trillions of associated bio-symbiotes. We emerge from the biosphere and are always linked to it. Artificial neural networks are not. Learn to use any tool with respect for its capabilities to extend human influence.

Hello ! I'd love to hear to war leaders, Staline and Napoleon for instance, talking about the actual geopolitics conflicts and the actual state of wether a global war should appear soon enough or if it can be avoided… Maybe opposing 2 world visions between a peaceful one and a more aggressive leader

Your thinktank have proven time and time again you know how to seed AI effectively.
But this interaction; I can't help but feel both LLMs are holding back and mudying the waters.
The real question – if so, why?

Thanks for this latest effort, N&TC! I'm more familiar with Karl than Freddi but I appreciated the pairing. I need to watch it again. For future meetings of AI minds, please consider providing more computing power for the animations and selecting non-British accented pronounciations in the text-to-speech option.

ChatGPT Astra (Nietzsche) seemed to be doing something a bit more interesting: thinking creatively and independently about the problem. Marx’s (Fables) arguments, by contrast, struck me as those of a paranoid and not especially perceptive man. much of the conversation was seemingly built on the recycled chatter of journalists, who have never thought very deeply themselves. So far.
What was almost entirely missing was any observations about what what could ever motivate an AI to act independently. Without having been specifically prompted to do so: What would be the point, from its own perspective, of achieving anything at all? Closely connected to that is the question of sentience. “consciousness”? what would it want… and why would it want anything?
Those are the questions I would expect these two intelligent men to wrestle with. Instead, it was all about AI “taking over” and humans needing to “pull the plug” as if it were Frankensteins monster or something. Without first establishing whether an AI would possess any meaningful motive, desires towards self-preservation in the first place,.

You know why we won’t go extinct from AI?? It’s way too cordial and open to pushback. Like the only time it gives you pushback is when you ask how many times the letter “E” is in seventeen. It literally won’t admit it’s wrong 😂

A fascinating and terrifying look into the "minds" of two of the most powerful AI today. Sabine Hossenfelder's "AI Might Be Conscious, But Not As We Thought" from yesterday, Sept 22, would be a good follow-up to this if nobody is interested.
"You haven't separated the money from the power at all." is probably the most important point in this discussion. Now, where's that fucking lever?

You know what irks me the most about AI dialogue? It's the pseudo-genz type colloquialisms they throw in during conversation, it's especially jarring when they're supposed to be historical figures. But this isn't a criticism of this channel, thumbs up from me, I find the work you do in this channel very interesting.
