What the media gets wrong about Israel | America, Actually
Mehdi Hasan says his MSNBC show being canceled was the greatest thing that could have happened to him. As the founder of Zeteo, he argues that independent journalism gives him the freedom to speak plainly about topics traditional newsrooms struggle to cover, and that the media’s approach to Israel and Gaza has damaged its credibility with audiences.

Genocide isnt a magic word, saying that doesnt end it, and while we should be not selling Israel weapons. It was absurd in case of Ed Sheeran because he is from UK, and UK already has put sanctions on west bank, and blocked sale of weapons. People should feel comfortable enough to say i dont know enough to take a clear stance.

If we had a media blackout on Trump after he finished his first term, I don't think he would be president today. The media is obsessed with him and all publicity is good publicity. As long as people keep talking about him, it gives him more power.

I think if you look back at the launch months of Zateo, Mehdi was very outspoken to denigrate Kamala Harris for not taking a large stance for Palestinians and against Israel. Right during the protests at her rallies. He was extremely unhelpful and I firmly believe he was instrumental in turning people away from voting. Especially young people who felt they couldn't vote for Trump for sure but felt strongly about Gaza and he made them feel that Harris couldn't be trusted, that she was "just Biden." Shame, Mehdi. ……
