I really hate the anti-ai crowd.
But I also hate the mega corporations that think they're going to be using it for everything, and fire everyone and make themselves all of the money.
It's great, it really is, but it's not for everything.
There's still a ton of things it does terribly.
It's not really designed to flatter you, but humans REALLY love to flatter themselves so a lot of people will ask things in a way that leads to it.
I've used AI to generate images, but they were kind of mediocre.
It actually does take skill to get what you want out of it, and I haven't felt a strong desire to learn all of that when I prefer to work with my hands and make sculptures.
So the only real use I've found for it is just bouncing ideas off of to lead me to topics to look into without the help of AI.
Because while it's way more accurate than the anti-ai crowd will have you believe, there's still the chance that it'll get things wrong, it's always better to go to primary sources when possible.
It really is like a crowbar.
People will use it for bad things.
Some people won't have a need to use it at all.
It's not the appropriate tool for everything.
But that doesn't mean it's evil or useless.
Your skits are always amusing though.
You can outsource some of your thinking, I know most people don't memorize phone numbers anymore, but please don't outsource ALL of it.

My buddy is a CFO whose CEO decided he could do the CFO work in a weekend with AI. Ghosted my buddy for a week, then called him and begged for help: the AI's model was beyond terrible and caused weeks worth of work for my buddy just to fix it.

Literally my ex-boss. Mind you, it was a company that made management software for non-profits and he decided the best way forward was to feed all our customers’ data (sensitive information about all the donors that non-profits using our software enters) should be fed directly to AI for analysis and whatnot. Braindead.
