In an interview with Rockhill I watched the other day Bellamy Foster said CIA documents mentioned "the 4 retreats" that they were trying to misdirect people away from:
Materialism
Dialectics
Imperialism/anti imperialism
Class
I have a feeling the CIA may of just seen these together as "Soviet philosophy" and so sought to counter them because of that.
