Funny stuff but my constructive criticism is to ask that you skip calling the son character "the dumbest kid who ever lived". Yeah you're talking about the character and not the actor but…that stuff still gets to young actors sometimes.

It is a dumb film, but a fun film. The bully subplot could have been dropped and it would have been better. This isn't a Stephen King film.

The best part of this movie was toward the end when someoneβs cellphone went off super loud, so loud that I thought it was in the movie and it meant that theyβd somehow been transported back to the present but then I remembered the βpresentβ was the 80βs for no apparent reason so then I was like βdamn that was a LOUD cellphone ringer.β
Anyway what a dumb movie.

RYAN! Just too much. This reminds me of my entire 45 years in Ad-Ver-Ti-Zing! And client pitches. And directors of photography. And continuity and dressing and lights and make- up, And technical…. just gas, gaffer tape and wire. Smoke and mirrors. AND MONEY.

God this was one of the worst movies I've seen all year, and almost everything in this PM was spot on. But yeah you missed the fact that the "bully" wasn't really a bully, he was a furious older brother beating him up (somewhat) justifiably for breaking his brother's arm. Like that's a weirdly fucked up thing to just throw out there for the movie. And yeah that ending was so forehead-slappingly stupid! I mean it's kind of implied she didn't save everyone, she only had 20 minutes, it seems like she only saved the people she liked/knew? And like you said, it was a PAYPHONE. How many quarters did she have in her pocket while running from dinosaurs?! She should've been jingling the whole movie with big heavy pockets! And how did she call ALL of those people and convince them "Hey, our neighborhood is about to be time warped back into prehistoric times, you should absolutely leave your house in the middle of this thunderstorm" in just 20 minutes without sounding like a complete loon?

The part I struggled with the most was how the family could have jumped in the portal once they realised it lasted for about 10 seconds but chose to have an arguement over who goes first, therefore wasting enough time that when the son jumps he misses and hurts his leg, just so the dog can save the day. This then leads to them killing the librarian as theh had to go back into the house and they disturbed the dinos so the librarian comes to save them and gets eaten… So much happens in this movie just because we wanted it to.
