That does not make the earlier scientists dishonest. It shows how much uncertainty can hide inside a familiar textbook sentence. The uncomfortable part is realizing that some things we confidently teach today will probably look just as incomplete a century from now.

Pretty sure Eris is not the reason Pluto was demoted. (loads of videos explaining why).. but that's still an argument why it was kicked out of the planetary solar system.

My own nation lied about certain things and places

Here's the thing: the normal matter (5%), dark matter (27%), and dark energy (68%) are wrong. Why? we are just guessing; we have no proof that the 5% of normal matter is true we just see, so who knows what materials, resources, etc. are in other planets like true ones? We have never been in deep space and have mines in other planets, so all of those are in my opinion 100% wrong. We need 100% understanding of normal matter or all of it, the same for atoms, etc. The same goes for dark matter and energy. Who knows? Everything we know is wrong. Here are 2 paths of what universe is at 100% completion of that I think are paths. 1: Sci-fi tech (like alien tech, etc.) is possible. Path 2: Sci-fi tech and so on are not possible, but we still can become any type 1 or 3 civilization.

That's what I am thinking. I am not saying to take my takes seriously. But usually everything we know from the universe is from what we see, not what we have stepped on, walked on, mided, etc. on, so who knows? I mean, sci-fi literally means "science fiction."
