The Last Days Of Amy Winehouse
In 2011, Amy Winehouse was one of the most talented and celebrated singer-songwriters in the world. With multiple awards, global fame, and a groundbreaking musical legacy already behind her, she should have been preparing for her third album and the next chapter of her career. Instead, she was publicly struggling with addiction, declining health, and the pressures of extraordinary fame. Just weeks later, her life would come to a tragic end.
LAST DAYS is Weird History’s prestige format series focusing on final chapters, deaths, downfalls and conclusions. In this episode, we examine what happened to Amy Winehouse in her final days and how one of the greatest voices of her generation went from international superstardom to a heartbreaking final chapter.
(Much like real history, this video was produced entirely by human beings.)

Only got herself to blame no sympathy for druggies her father tried to cash in after her death should have done something before

And then there's this celebrity who mocked her death by flaunting a cake depicting her death body for his party…

a girl i was dating casually said i should check her out, and that was right when all the early crazy stuff was happening and i kinda followed it from there

A true talent, for sure. But you make a song mocking the idea of rehab and then die of alcohol poisoning – I just don't have a lot of sympathy for that. Should've said "yes, yes, yes."

Yes, a good many people and publications were inexcusably cruel in their treatment of her. However, there should be something said for personal accountability, which she displayed none of and apparently no one expected it of her.

She was also Jewish. 😉 Maybe the power Jews didn't like what she was doing

I still have such a hard time with her death, I don't know why. I really connected with the beautiful agony in her music, it was so raw. You knew it was so real for her. I hated the way the press and other celebs treated her. RIP Amy, gone too soon.

What ever became of country legends like Don Williams, Ronnie Millsap, Alabama, Glen Campbell, Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers or Waylon Jennings. We hear a lot about the day the music died and other music legends but not much about Country.

Jim Morrison was also a number of the 27 club. 😢😢😢
My best girlfriend became an alcoholic. After returning home from a 2-week stay in the hospital because of her damaged liver, she was left alone for 20 minutes. In that time, she retrieved a bottle of wine that she had hidden and drank it all. That killed her. It reminded me of how Amy Winehouse died. RIP Amy and Monica

She had so much talent, and I never laughed at her during her breakdown, that poor girl needed help so badly

She was so beautiful. So incredibly talented. That kind of talent only comes from trauma. Every true artist is in deep trauma. So sad. I love her.

Remember, folks: I think we all agree that paparazzi are scumbag vultures, undeserving of oxygen. But if you're one of the many buying the trash newspapers and magazines, and reading websites with those photos taken by them – you're part of the problem.

Managers are hell, just ask Elvis. Tom Parker was a terrible manager, not bothering to give a toss about Elvis outside of what he could personally gain from being the manager to the King.

It was one of those tragedies that seems to hit the most talented of all. The gutter press were as disgusting as usual. So-called comedians making fun of her when she needed help above all.
There should be a legal obligation for those who supposedly look after creative people – who, it seems, are the most likely to end up gone too soon – to actually do their job. It shouldn't just be arranging tours and recording sessions, but at the first sign of addiction, they should get them in rehab before the habit becomes impossible to break. And if necessary, cancel tours, media days, etc. Remove as much stress and strain from their lives and get them to concentrate on their talents.
I can never understand her father's ignoring of the friends who told him to cancel that tour. Perfect he was afraid of losing money…?

Difficult to have any empathy or sympathy for people who choose to go back to substances on repeat. Experienced that firsthand with the ex spouse. Can't help people who never want it.

Hoping that all of those in Entertainment news still feel guilt to this day. Not to mention her father. Proof that people need a support system, not mockery and people only there for financial gain. She could have had an amazing career that's banded decades if it weren't for them
