If You Think Death Is The “END”, You NEED To See This

The Diary Of A CEO Clips | August 14, 2026

Graham Hancock, the bestselling author and presenter of the Netflix series Ancient Apocalypse, sits down for a deeply personal conversation just weeks before heart surgery. And he delivers a warning that has nothing to do with pyramids or lost civilizations, and everything to do with where humanity is heading right now.

When asked about the closing question left by a previous guest (is there a danger of sleepwalking into worshipping a machine god?), Hancock’s answer is immediate: we are already doing it. He argues that science has been elevated to occupy the space once held by religion. And he draws a sharp line between science as a tool and science as an object of worship. He says the phrase “trust the science” betrays science itself, because the fundamental ethic of science is not to trust but to question and challenge. His preferred phrase is “investigate the science.” See whether it’s right for you. See what else is available. Anybody who says don’t ask questions, he argues, is doing great harm.

He warns that our species is poised on the edge of an abyss. Our technology has outgrown our mentality, and we are not in good shape to deal with the challenges ahead. He believes the chance of a nuclear exchange grows higher, and that unlike his generation (born in 1950, five years after the end of World War II), people today are not aware of the true horror of global war. He believes the most likely way we bring our civilization back to the Stone Age is not a comet impact but nuclear war, something we would do to ourselves.

Discover:
• Why Graham Hancock says we are already worshipping a machine god
• The reason he refuses to ever say “trust the science”
• Why he believes our species is on the edge of an abyss
• The Egyptian judgment scene and what it says about how you live your life
• His emotional reflection on love and family before heart surgery
• Why he believes nuclear war is the most likely path back to the Stone Age
• The accusation that hurt him most and why he cannot forgive it
• Why independent inquiry is the most important thing he wants to leave behind

It's easier to believe all this rubbish if you live in a homogeneous society. When people are generally thought to be born equal. When you understand that genetics is factual, you understand that people are born widely unequally. Evolution is also factual. Exactly when in our evolution did we receive these 'souls'? Certainly when our ancestors were ferret sized mammals living underground as the dinosaurs were going extinct we didn't have 'souls' and had to answer to these gods. I believe when we die, that's it. It'll be no different than the time before we we're born. I assure you, you won't care. That said, being a person who follows the golden rule is still worth pursuing.

Hey Graham if it wasn't for enquiring minds like yours and the light you have shown on so many strange structures scattered across the globe the status quo of impossible sounding explanations would prevail leaving us firmly in the dark. Thank you for your work.

Graham's life is a good example of the saying, "Behind every great man is a great woman." Although the potential greatness must have been there already, to be brought out with the help and encouragement of his wife.

I've been dubious about Graham Hancock because of the types of programs he's appeared in. Ancient Aliens and Whitley Streiber's Dreamland are or were shows that appeal to fringe interests. These types of shows have everything and anything in them and are very often disreputable . Very often the subject matter of the shows change over the years. An example of this is a story of Travis Walton which over the Decades has changed considerably. The Rendlesham Forest incident is another example that has morphed over the Decades. However, Hancock has remained consistent over 26 years that I've heard him. I think he's genuine.

Is he trying to say that we have to answer to that thing on the chair and have humans with dogs heads kicking about at our feet on the way to that thing in the chair🤔 Yeah they seem SO intelligent that they created man, universes, animals, and soooooo much more😂 I will stick to there being ONE true GOD YAHWEH and ONE true SON JESUS CHRIST! No big Buddhas, absolutely no Allahs, and no other things either!! Sorry but Switched off after seeing his opinion of death!😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Really believe Mr. Hancock’s work points at the truth of a lost ancient civilization.

“No greater love haveth man than sacrificing his life for others.”

My anchor in life is knowing that not by my own goodness and self-righteousness, but only by faith and understanding of what the blood of Christ and his resurrection truly means for us gives me hope eternal.

Most people who seek power are the wrong people to have it. At 19:54, Hancock's answer is mostly a load of bullsh**; no intelligent person is worshiping science, least of all those of us in the various fields of science. Trusting the science isn't about believing or worshipping it; it's about trusting repeatedly provable results. For example, the law of gravity is consistently provable by jumping up and down, and so you can trust the proven science. The real problem is that most people are ignorant of science and don't understand scientific methodology, the difference between a law, theory, or hypothesis, and, sadly, most don't even understand advanced math. Ignorance is the problem.
