Gumboot Soup was the first King Gizzard record I ever bought and I couldn't have picked a better album to start. Like you said, if you find one song on there you enjoy, there's a whole album dedicated to that soundscape.

It wasn’t their usual experimental stuff that got me into them actually. I got hooked on PetroDragonic Apocalypse starting with Gila Monster, because it was so damn fun, and branched out from there. The synths and groove and psychedelic is not really my taste in music sadly, but I’ve picked out songs here and there in almost every album that I enjoy. Stumbling upon King Gizzard as a metalhead, it was definitely a mind twister to hear most of their stuff but if you’re feeling explorational, most of it’s worth hearing no matter what your taste in music!

2020. Lockdown, stuck inside my apartment with a bunch of other students, we'd regularly take shrooms and listen to music… Thank you to the turkish girl that introduced me to king gizzard

Being a metal fan and a techno fan, KGLW made my day with Petrodragonic and The Silver Cord. And yes, Butterfly 3000 and Infest The Rats Nest are also my faves (even tho it was their microtonal albums that’s got me into them)

I would love them to try and dip toes into more hip hop and metal personally I think that would be very cool. They already did petradragonic for metal but I think a rap hip hop focused album would be dope

I couldn't disagree more with what you think their best albums are (you didn't even MENTION Oddments or FAFYL!) and I lol'd at Paper Mache Dream Balloon being grouped in with their "psychadelic garage rock" sound haha BUT that's King Gizz for ya! Everyone gets something different out of listening to them. Regardless, this was a fun watch and you do touch on a lot of interesting things about this band 👍
